It's hard to see a future where the rights of citizens will be maintained when a political party runs on hatred in the name of god, on fear in the name of morals. It's hard not to look at the past and see the ripples of past mistakes and past fervours in the name of greatness, of glory. It's hard not to be reminded of the loss of life and liberties that happened then, and that happens every day in this world. 

It's hard not to see the parallels in my own story.

We've opened pandora's box, and though the world seems to be inhabited by all that is bad, remember that at the bottom, there was hope.

Keep the light inside yourselves, and fight for those hard earned rights that will be tested. I'll do my best on this side.
